This is Be Loud! Sophie calling.
Whether you are a fan of The Clash or have never heard of the band, please join us November 20th at Cat’s Cradle for Be Loud! Calling, our celebration of the 40th anniversary (delayed by a year because of COVID-19) of The Clash’s seminal double album, London Calling.
Four awesome bands will each play one side of this epic record, and it all happens on one night only. Winfield opens. Plus, you won’t believe how cool the concert t-shirts are. Be Loud! Calling promises to be one for the ages so don’t miss it!
Regarding COVID-19, Cat’s Cradle requires everyone to show either proof of a full course of COVID-19 vaccination, or proof of a negative COVID-19 test, administered by a healthcare professional, taken in the prior 72 hours. Please read here for more on their policies, and help us make this a safe event for all involved.

About the Bands
Side One: Preeesh!
If you’ve been to a Be Loud! show, chances are you’ve seen Preeesh! an amazing supergroup featuring John Plymale, Rob Ladd, Robert Sledge and Brian Dennis. Trust us, you don’t want to miss them.
Side Two: Pipe
Formed in 1992, Chapel Hill’s Pipe forges a ragged sound that draws from the raw garage rock of the ’60s, punk’s irreverent attitude and the post-punk/indie rock attack of the 70’s and ’80s underground. Don’t be surprised if Pipe’s versions of these songs clock in even faster than the originals!
Side Three: John Howie Jr. & The Rosewood Bluff
John Howie Jr. has been recording and performing his own brand of soulful country music for decades and has been a part of the Triangle music scene since his high school days.
Side Four: Snatches of Pink
That’s right, the legendary Snatches of Pink will reform for Be Loud! ’21. This will be the first time founding members Michael Rank and Andy McMillan have performed together since the ’90s and they’ve got a stellar cast of Snatches alumna and friends backing them.
Thanks for your support and Be Loud!
